ABC Chemistry - is a compilation of free full text peer reviewed journals in Chemistry in English language. The archive is divided into 2 sections, one with journals that are permanently available full text on the web, and another section with trials and journals that are temporarily for free. There is a separate list with journals in Russian.
African Index Medicus - attempts to make health literature produced in Africa more visible worldwide. The World Health Organization, in partnership with the Association for Health Information and Libraries in Africa (AHILA), has created an international index to Africa literature and information sources in Health disciplines. All medical journals in Africa are eligible to join the initiative in order to promote African publishing. An important number of journals articles are not only indexed but freely available in full text. To a lesser extent, articles on health issues pertaining to Africa but produced elsewhere are also indexed here.
American Journal of Botany (AJB) - publishes significant, novel research of interest to a wide audience of plant scientists in all areas of plant biology (structure, function, development, diversity, genetics, evolution, reproduction, systematics), all levels of organization (molecular to ecosystem), and all plant groups and allied organisms (cyanobacteria, algae, fungi, and lichens). AJB requires authors to frame their research questions and discuss their results in terms of major questions of plant biology to maximize the impact and value of their research. Purely descriptive papers and broad surveys are not generally considered or accepted for publication.

BioMed Central - is an STM (Science, Technology and Medicine) publisher which has pioneered the open access publishing model. BioMed Central's portfolio of 205 journals includes general titles such as Journal of Biology alongside specialist journals (e.g. BMC Bioinformatics, Malaria Journal) that focus on particular disciplines . All the research published by BioMed Central's journals is open access.

CiteSeer is a scientific literature digital library and search engine that focuses primarily on the literature in computer and information science. Developed in 1997 at the NEC Research Institute, Princeton, New Jersey, by Steve Lawrence, Lee Giles and Kurt Bollacker, it is now hosted at the Pennsylvania State University's College of Information Sciences and Technology under the direction of Professor Lee Giles. Rather than creating just another digital library, CiteSeer attempts to provide resources such as algorithms, data, metadata, services, techniques, and software that can be used to promote other digital libraries. CiteSeer indexes PostScript and PDF research articles on the Web, and was the first digital library and search engine to provide automated citation indexing and citation linking using the method of autonomous citation indexing.

Directory of Mathematics Preprint and e-Print Servers - makes available to the mathematical community the current homepage URLs and email contacts of all mathematical preprint and e-print servers throughout the world. This directory will provide mathematicians with a tool to find any of these servers in order to browse the articles posted on them and, in many cases, to post an article to the server itself.
Directory of Open Access Journals - the service covers free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals. We aim to cover all subjects and languages. There are now 4254 journals in the directory. Currently 1577 journals are searchable at article level. As of today 291430 articles are included in the DOAJ service.
information system provides a wide range of information on the electronic publishing of dissertations and post-doctoral theses. Information is held which is of relevance for authors, libraries, scientific institutions and publishing houses. Sample documents are available which are intended to help authors with the presentation of their dissertations or post-doctoral theses, allowing them to be published electronically on university publication servers and by the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek while fulfilling all digital preservation requirements. E-Books Directory is a daily growing free web resource from where you can download e-books, documents, lecture notes, technical papers, as well as user contributed content, articles, reviews and comments. Currently the platform gathers links to more than 1780 e-books listed in 392 categories, including Business, Computer and Internet, Engineering, Humanities, Literature, Medicine and many more.

The Elektronische Zeitschriftenbibliothek EZB (Electronic Journals Library) - is a service to facilitate the use of scholarly journals on the internet. It offers a fast, structured and unified interface to access full text articles online.
E-LIS is an open access and voluntary-based initiative for scientific or technical documents, published or unpublished, on Librarianship, Information Science and Technology, and related areas. E-LIS currently houses more than 7,500 documents in different languages and as a free-access international archive it goes in line with the Free Online Scholarship (FOS) movement and the Eprints movement, based on the Open Archive Initiative (OAI) standards and protocols.

Free Electronic Math Journals compiled by Berkeley University, this site provides links to e-journals on Mathematics by several University Presses and professional societies that are available for free.
Free Medical Journals provides with access to full text medical journals on the internet for free. These open access journals can be searched by speciality (ranging from AIDS to veterinary medicine), language (including journals in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Turkish and others) and new publications.

ScientificCommons.org to provide the most comprehensive and freely available access to scientific knowledge on the internet.The major aim of the project is to develop the worlds largest communication medium for scientific knowledge products which is freely accessible to the public. A key challenge of the project is to support the rapidly growing number of movements and archives who admit the free distribution and access to scientific knowledge. These are the valuable sources for the ScientificCommons.org project. The ScientificCommons.org project makes it possible to access the largely distributed sources with their vast amount of scientific publications via just one common interface. ScientificCommons.org identifies authors from all archives and makes their social and professional relationships transparent and visible to anyone across disciplinary, institutional and technological boundaries. Currently ScientificCommons.org has indexed about 13 million scientific publications and successfully extracted 6 million authors' names out of this data (January 2007). Core functions and aims of the project for now and the future are to provide the identification of repositories, the indexing of full-text documents, the extraction of author relationships and personalization services.
