Join the Electronic Library of Ukraine –

Applied Knowedge Center of Ukraine Universities

(hereinafter known as “Organization”) states its interest and commitment in the project known as “Electronic Library of Ukraine – Applied Knowledge Centers of Ukrainian Universities” (hereinafter known as “Project”) and agrees with the objectives and obligations/responsibilities of the Project.

The Project agrees that the Applied Knowledge Centers are an indispensible part of the vision of the project and its development in the system of academic social network and the participant university guarantees its support of the project in the following:

1. To introduce and increase the use of academic electronic resources into an applied academic and research process, which are part of the Organization’s activity;
2. To provide the ability for open free acees to information resources of the Project to students, faculty and researchers of the Organization though the creation and development of a public access to the Internet, (at a minimum 50 public computers), including in that number the academic library of the Organization (at a minimum 5 public computers);
3. To provide access to the Internet at a minimum 5 Mb/sec;
4. To provide the ability for open (free) publication research work results of its faculty members, collaborators and students of the Organization through official institutional repositaries of the Organization (according to established mutually agreed upon policies of such repositaries);
5. To develop an organizational and management strategy related to the transformation of the academic library – applied research-information centers, which will be responsible the informatinal academic and research needs of the Organization’s members and its academic and research partners based on the principles of equal accessibility, effectiveness and comfort.

In order to effectively guarantee the success of the project, the Organization agrees to the following:

1. Commit to include in its budget subscriptions for electronic resources, at a minimum to a two year subscription to EBSCO (at the price of agreement to the resource).
2. Appoint individuals who will be responsible for the coordination of activities, coordination and developoment of electronic resources within this Project:  A general coordinator of the project.
